| Across the Valley: by Carl Hetherington. This is a view from Quaker Ridge in Canaan, New York where I live, across to the neighboring ridge to the west. It was the wonderful lighting effect of the sun on the pine trees that caught my eye. I waited until nearly all the trees were glowing at their edges particularly the wonderful yellow surrounding each pine before capturing this unusual combination of terrain and light. |
